Updates of a nature expanding outside the confines!

September 21st, 2009 No comments

Hey Folks,

It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted here. I’ve been busy.

A few things to note since my last update:

– Kids are doing well .. growing like weeds.. #3 is on the way.

– The canucks didn’t make it as far as I would have liked .. but looked good and exceeded expectations

– moved the site to a new web host

– didn’t hit the fireworks this year 🙁

– Finished the Doctor Who film I’ve been working on for the last two years with a friend of mine.

This last one is the main reason to start these updates again.

Yes, it has been two years from start –> finish. We had our big premiere on Friday Sept 4th and had about 90 people show up. It was a blast!

If you haven’t watched it yet .. please head straight over the Victimsight website and peek a peek 🙂

We’ve had some good reviews of it so far. Have a look and enjoy.

Also, checkout the new issue of Whotopia magazine 🙂 A great Vancouver based DW magazine.

The train just came to an abrupt stop

May 4th, 2007 No comments

whale1 bIt was numbing! I was watching the game and then it happened. The Ducks scored and my mouth just dropped open.

At the beginning of the season many people, including sports reporting personnel didn’t think the Canucks would even make it to the post season. They showed them. They’re also the first Canuck team in a few years to make it past the first round.

Considering they had a number of injury’s as the playoffs went along I believe they did the best they could with what they had. Should they have kept their feet moving more? Yes. Should they be a little more physical? Yes. and always, always keep your eye on the puck.

We may have not made it past the 2nd round, but we’ve shown the team has heart and people better watch out for next year.

Go Canucks Go… see you at training camp later this year.

Vancouver Giants miss the finals

May 27th, 2006 No comments

The Vancouver Giants lost to the Moncton Wildcats 3-1.

g8_1a.jpg

This also seems the last outing for 3 over-agers in Giants uniforms that will be muchly missed: Paul Albers, Mitch Bartley, and Brett Parker.Vancouver is hosting the Memorial Cup next year, so we’ll have a good chance to see them fight for it again.

A great year of Giants hockey is behind us and we can’t forgot the great Playoff strech that seems them win the WHL championship after only 5 years in the league. Congratulations to all the Vancouver Giants Players, Coaches and Support Staff. You have brought a wonderful game to Vancouver. Keep it up.
See you at the rink next year.
